Luwombo a Ugandan delicacy is a traditional Method of Cooking common among the baganda in the central Uganda. Luwombo is both a classic dish of royal dinners and a dish popular throughout Uganda especially at holiday time.

Traditionally in Uganda having a luwombo is like having the biggest celebrations like Christmas   or a wedding.  Many people enjoy this delicacy and it is very much respected and honored.

It is said that oluwombo dates way back in the 50s though most popularly recognized in the 1880s  during the reign of Kabaka Mwanga, the dish was introduced by his chief cook, Kawunta. 

This conventional Ugandan stew comprises of chicken, beef or fish that is steamed with vegetables, for example, carrots, potatoes, and mushrooms alongside nut (g-nut) sauce in wrapped plantains.

Luwombo is one of those pleasant, generous dishes that hit the spot and causes you to feel all warm and full inside.
